It seems odd calling this applesauce cause I have never had applesauce like this before. It’s seriously amazing. It’s more like a dessert. I served it warm & everyone gobbled it up!
This is in no way cheaper or easier than store bought, but it is much more delicious! It made the house smell yummy too!
Entire recipe = 1 weight watchers points+ (keep in mind it is 8 apples without skins so it is high in natural sugars…. I wouldn’t eat the whole batch even though I want to!)
Ingredients –
8 apples cored, peeled, & roughly chopped (I used gala)
1 cinnamon stick or 1-2 tsp ground cinnamon
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp truvia brown sugar blend
Spray your crockpot with non stick cooking spray. Place all ingredients in crockpot & stir to coat. Cook on low for 6 hours stirring occasionally.
At the end use a potato masher & mash until you reach the desired consistency. I left mine really chunky.
